Togwell happy for a breather
The Iron midfielder is grateful of a two-week break from action and believes United will feel the benefits when it comes to their final push for survival.
Nigel Adkins has often encouraged a siege mentality amongst his men – something Togwell expects will be cultivated on a mini-break at Champneys health resort this week.
"It's a chance to regroup, sort your fitness levels and little niggling injuries out and just rest really," he said of the Iron's fortnight off.
"The pitches are getting heavier and we haven't had chance to train outdoors as much as we want to because the training pitch is waterlogged.
"It takes it's effect on the body. I've noticed it personally after a couple of games, waking up with heavy legs.
"Every team is going to get the chance to have a rest at some point over the season, but hopefully we can do it in the right way.
"We can get a good two weeks training under our belt, make sure everyone is fit and then get mentally ready for the battle ahead.
"The team spirit is brilliant, the banter is flying and a chance to go away with the boys this week will be good.
"It's a chance for everyone to get together, get outside and train on what I understand to be a nice pitch.
"Team bonding as well, I think, is the most important part.
"The goal at the end of the season is to stay up."
