It never rains but it pours

WHEN Steelmen manager John Simpson claims 'it never rains but it pours', he has a stronger case than most.

Frod will be missing nine players when they welcome Askern Villa tomorrow, with Jack Siddall (ligament damage), Craig Sharpless (amputated finger), Michael Bettney (foot), Chris Gibbins and Caine Mawer (knee), Callum Dransfield and James Hare (hamstring) and Liam Johnson and Ryan Hibbard (cruciate ligaments) all unavailable.

But new signing Scott Mckay, brought in from Barton, could make his debut as Frod look to finish their home season with a win.

James Hare is one of nine players missing for Frod ahead of their clash with Askern Villa.
